Skin Gin is produced just outside Hamburg. The square bottles are adorned with a stylish anchor as a nod to their homeland. In this case, a copper-coloured anchor on a white imitation leather cover. This special feature, that the bottles are wrapped in "skins", ultimately gave rise to the name "Skin" gin. The diverse designs in particular make the gin an eye-catcher. And what about the contents of the bottle? During a holiday in Greece, founder Martin Birk Jensen had the idea of creating a fresh, mild and unusual gin. And so a range of citrus fruits (lemons, oranges, grapefruit and limes) can be found on the list of ingredients, which is supplemented with Moroccan mint. The hand-picked botanicals are distilled in the traditional way. The result is a high-quality gin that is truly exceptional. Anyone who enjoys drinking fruity, fresh gins will definitely like Skin Gin.
Skin Gin is characterised by a fresh, fruity aroma. It is a little reminiscent of lemon balm and mint tea. Overall, a very inviting odour. The mouthfeel is very fresh. The herbs dominate here too, peppermint, lemon balm and a little sage. The impression is supported by the flavours of ripe oranges and citrus fruits, which provide a welcome contrast. The finish is also characterised by the flavour nuances described above. The mentholated flavours linger in the mouth for a long time. The fact that no heavy or unpleasant alcohol flavours can be tasted speaks for the quality of the craftsmanship.
