The gin goes back to Alexander Gordon. In 1769, he created a solid gin with a juniper note and a light citrus flavour. A lot has happened in the 250 years since then. The art of distilling gin has been perfected further and further. As a result, Gordon's Gin has won a considerable number of prizes and awards. The gin is so popular that it is the most exported gin in the world. No wonder, because Gordon's is extremely versatile. You can drink it neat, in a gin and tonic or in cocktails. And it cuts a fine figure everywhere. You can't really go wrong buying this gin. And even though the price is quite low, you get a high-quality gin.
The bottles are adorned with a boar as the heraldic animal. This brand logo goes back to the family of Alexander Gordon. Legend has it that the life of the King of Scotland was saved by one of Alexander Gordon's ancestors during a driven hunt. And since then, the family has been allowed to wear this coat of arms in gratitude.
